Edgewater Hotel

As Seattle’s only waterfront hotel – known for hosting The Beatles at the height of Beatlemania – our goal was to maximize views of Puget Sound. In guest rooms we installed sliding doors to bathrooms, providing privacy when closed and water views when open, and enhanced sight lines to the water in the bar and restaurant. Taking into account the walkability of the hotel to downtown, we also created a luxurious space with outdoor seating to solidify the restaurant as a destination in its own right. To create a cozy retreat from the typically cold weather and urbansurroundings, we updated guestrooms and lobby with rich, warm textures evoking a rustic element and shifted focus to seating by the fireplaces.
