With a prime location on Mission Bay, our challenge was to transform several storage buildings into amenities that would round out the perfect vacation experience. From these buildings, we created a spa, fitness center, kids’ club and restrooms. We also added a pool bar, new pool deck and fire pits for sunset gatherings as well as a beach-entry to the pool. We created communal areas in the breezeway centered around modern woven furniture and inviting lighting, as well as carved out space for a coffee bar and refreshed the gift shop. The restaurant was also updated to capture coastal elegance. A convention center, designed to replace a temporary tent structure, was also permitted and approved by the Coastal Commission.
