Mid-century Living Room + Entry
La Jolla, California
The clients wanted to update their home, built in the mid ‘60s, without making structural changes. The living room needed to be a cozy and usable space for the family of five. We placed furniture with mid-century modern lines that complemented the architecture and was, above all, comfortable.
With nesting side tables and a nesting ottoman-coffee table we created flexibility as well as a sense of continuity by echoing this element. We also created a layered materiality by adding textures with pillows, leather and a rug as well as iron, brass and glass.
